
There is a private initiative to towards recruitment of up to 2500 personnel in the construction and cocoa industries to assist in the development efforts of the government and people of Trinidad & Tobago. . Approval and support of the program is currently being solicited from the government of Trinidad & Tobago, the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Labour and Social Welfare in Ghana who are currently scrutinising the fine details of the program. A statement from both governments is being awaited any moment from now. Skills required are from the following categories

- Masons
- Plumbers
- Joiners
- Carpenters
- Electricians
- Tile Layers
- Multi-Skilled Professionals
- Other Engineering Technicians in the construction industry

- Farmhands of various categories
- Other technicians in the Cocoa Industry

- Physical Fitness
- Speak basic level of English Language
- Evidence of willingness and ability to work in the above industries
- Preparedness fly to Trinidad & Tobago immediately on selection

- Yearly renewable visa/work permit up to 6years maximum
- Accommodation and travel provided on arrival by recruiting companies
- Hourly wage of Between TT$15-20/hour above (in local currency depending on experience)
- Employers ready to receive you on arrival

- You can still join the recruitment program. Just that you will need the standard entry visa to Trinidad & Tobago from your country of origin and then the recruitment program will help you process a work permit from Accra.
- Alternatively you can also buy a normal tourist ticket to T&T through Solid Rock and then request to be processed for a work permit. Solid Rock will then forward your name to the recruitment program for assistance with the visa and work permit via the T&T Embassy in your home country.
- IT IS ONLY GHANAIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS WHO ARE ENTITLED TO VISA FREE ENTRY TO TRINIDAD & TOBAGO UP TO SIX MONTHS
- SOLID ROCK DOES NOT GET INVOLVED IN ACQUIRING GHANAIAN PASSPORTS !

- To be eligible, you must have bought a return ticket to Port-of-Spain from Solid Rock. This is because you will be required to fly to Trinidad & Tobago immediately after passing the interview.
